Joins American Express and YouTube to Raise Money, Awareness for HIV/AIDS in Africa
AEG Digital Media played a critical role in bringing music superstar Alicia Keys to a global audience on World AIDS Day.
Viewers around the world enjoyed a pristine multi-camera view of the live concert in full HD on numerous digital media platforms – thanks to the technical and multi-media expertise that AEG Digital Media brings to live events.
“Alicia Keys Live! One night. One voice. One life at a time” was sponsored by American Express, and featured Keys performing new and classic hits live from NOKIA Theatre Times Square.
AEG Digital Media incorporated many of the elements of its global service offerings to produce, manage and webcast the event live on YouTube.
The program utilized AEG Digital Media’s complete service offering, as the company
- Distributed the live concert over multiple content delivery networks
- Enabled a nine camera shoot in New York City
- Managed the live transmission from the venue
- Utilized a customized and branded live Flash player
- Encoded On Demand segments
Best of all? All proceeds from the concert went to “Keep a Child Alive,” an organization that helps children and families affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa and India.
“It was an honor to be involved with such a great cause, such great partners, and such an amazing performer,” said Michael Goldfine, President of AEG Digital Media. “It was also an outstanding night for our core business, as AEG Digital Media once again provided flawless multi-media technical services, streaming and production for a global live event.”
