OFFICIAL AEG DIGITAL MEDIA PRESS RELEASE

Electric Picture Solutions Teams Up With AEG Digital Media

LOS ANGELES–Electric Picture Solutions (EPS) and AEG Digital Media have joined forces to provide encoding and distribution of content across television, broadband and mobile platforms. Now, when an EPS client completes postproduction, they can easily hold and simulcast a red carpet premiere over the Internet and on mobile platforms through AEG Digital Media. Clients also can utilize EPS (www.picturesolutions.com) and AEG Digital Media (www.aegdigitalmedia.com) as a one-stop shop to re-purpose their libraries of content, movies and television shows for broadband and mobile archiving and distribution.

“Both companies were pioneers in the digital media industry, and this partnership now brings together well-known and well-respected brands to serve an ever-growing audience.”

The partnership follows on the heels of industry veteran Charlie Mitchell joining EPS as VP of Sales. “This is exactly what I envisioned for EPS – finding the appropriate partners that benefit our clients,” Mitchell says. “We have always been seen as the premier brand in providing editorial solutions for our clients, and when we look for a partner, we want to make sure that we find the premier partner. With AEG Digital Media, we found that.”

With facilities in Studio City, Santa Monica, Baton Rouge and affiliates in New York City and London, EPS has been a premier provider of editorial solutions to the motion picture and television industry for 16 years. AEG Digital Media, a division of Anschutz Entertainment Group, creates, produces and distributes content across television, mobile and broadband platforms throughout the world. It’s state-of-the-art, $25 million technical operations center and production studio in downtown Los Angeles.

“In our space, we are absolutely unique – we are now more of a full-service provider to our customers, providing services that our competitors cannot” says Mitchell. “Previously, in many cases once a project finished editing, our work with a client was complete until the next project. Our partnership with AEG Digital Media allows us to extend that relationship throughout the content creation and distribution ecosystem. We now can work with our clients to help them digitize and monetize content in a way they didn’t have before.”

For AEG Digital Media, the partnership brings a new client base and allows them to branch into new business territory: the re-purposing and distribution of existing content. “We are excited to partner with EPS and extend our world-class services to their outstanding client base,” says John Petrocelli, VP of Business Development and Sales for AEG Digital Media. “Both companies were pioneers in the digital media industry, and this partnership now brings together well-known and well-respected brands to serve an ever-growing audience.”
