New Addition Enables In-Event Viewer Polling and Surveys to Further Transform Spectators into Participants
LAS VEGAS, NV – NAB Show – April 11, 2011 – Online event specialist AEG Digital Media introduced today an expanded product suite that combines its enhanced live media player and social media aggregation tool with its new viewer polling application dubbed eMCee.
Announced at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) annual conference, the powerful suite now features eMCee, an application that allows webcasters and advertisers to poll viewers about content and their related interests and preferences during the event. Questions are posed in real-time and can appear inside on-screen ads which increases interaction with the event sponsor.
“The suite’s components collectively extend viewing times for live-streamed events, with consumers, webcasters and advertisers benefiting from more engaging interaction,” said John Petrocelli, vice president of sales and business development for AEG Digital Media. “Our customers have already employed the Tremolo Player and the Hawk social media application with impressive results, which eMCee can build on.”
The AEG Digital Media product suite also includes the recently enriched Tremolo Player and the Hawk, a unique social media aggregator.
The Recording Academy used the Tremolo Player and the Hawk to present the 53rd Annual GRAMMY Awards in mid-February.
The Tremolo Player, which is optimized for multi-angle viewing, immerses viewers in live events by providing an uninterrupted viewing experience when switching between its nine concurrent camera angles. It also provides webcasters more opportunities for monetization. Moreover, the Tremolo Player enables unique ads per stream and DoubleClick ad support, and can be controlled remotely to trigger ads, or an entire ad campaign, on the screen. AEG Digital Media recently enabled HTTP Dynamic Streaming through Akamai’s HD Network 2 for an international multi-day sporting event.
The Hawk completes the product suite by adding more interactive opportunities with social media. It aggregates and presents all messaging – Facebook messages, tweets, texts and web submissions – from fans, bloggers and event participants to provide fully interactive digital engagement during a streamed event. It features an easy-to-use management interface that allows automated and manual approval of inbound messages for posting with the live stream.
AEG Digital Media has provided their expertise and experience for events like the GRAMMY Awards (2010 and 2011) and the FIFA World Cup Kick-Off Celebration Concert, which was viewed live by more than 400,000 viewers from 180 countries and by more than 1 million others via on-demand rebroadcasts. AEG Digital Media also live-streamed the first-ever United Football League Championship Game available online, offering the consumer five camera feed options for diversified viewing throughout the game.
