Users can submit content from wherever they choose to watch the event:

  • Twitter – Through the use of #hash tags, attendees and viewers of your event can “tag” their comments for association with the event, allowing for easy search and discovery. “Tweets” that use your event’s hash tag are automatically fed into the admin system along with the Twitter user’s account name
  • Facebook - Posts to the event or brand's specific Facebook wall can be pulled into The Hawk for maximum fan engagement and brand exposure
  • Text messaging – Participants can send text messages to a unique phone number for your event. An option for submitting messages via mobile phones means more attendees of your event will be active participants
  • Web submission – For participants who don’t use social media or text messaging, they can submit their comments via a web submission form that has been designed to transmit their messages to the admin system

MESSAGE MANAGEMENT

Managing incoming messages is easy. Human administrators have full control over what messages are displayed through manual approval, or you can set the system for automatic distribution. There are a number of management options to help you manage the messaging at your event.

  • Live feed – Quickly adds new messages to the application as fast as they come in
  • Most recent – Allows you to ignore all but the most recent messages. The number of most recent messages can be determined via a drop down menu
  • Search words – Administrators may enter a keyword to only show messages containing that word

Administrators May Approve Or Reject Each Message In A Variety Of Ways:

  • Simple approval – Marks a message as approved and sends it to the updated feed
  • Whitelist approval – Approves the message and automatically approves and distributes all future messages from this user
  • Celebrity status – Approves the message and marks the user as a “celebrity,” applying customizable formatting to the message and automatically approving future messages
  • Spokesperson status – Whitelisting with spokesperson status approves the message and marks user as a “spokesperson,” used by the administrator to give official updates
  • Simple reject – Removes message without sending it to the user feed
  • Blacklist reject – Removes the message from the list and rejects all future messages from this user

Your Event Can Be Set Up To Filter And Distribute Messages Without Human Approval

  • Offensive word list – This list can contain profane terms or names of products and competitors. Incoming messages that use these words are automatically rejected
  • Automatic approval – With an active offensive word list, messages can be automatically approved, saving time and keeping the feed timely
  • Replay mode – Administrators can select a time period from which to display incoming messages, giving the appearance of fresh messaging during replay of an event, or matching the message timing to the replay event

Need to broadcast a message to the fan base? Find a tweet or post that deserves extra airtime? Stickies and admin messages make it easy to place important or relevant messages at the top of the stream. Whether it is an important message, sponsor announcement, or celebrity update, this feature ensures those messages don't get lost in the crowd. Persistent messages can be easily administered from The Hawk dashboard.

Manage User-Generated Event Photos with The PhoHawk

As a unique part of The Hawk, The PhoHawk is an exclusive feature that allows users to submit photos of the event while applying the same administrative features available to social messages to photo submissions.

Keep The Conversation Going:

The Hawk automatically collects phone numbers, Facebook and Twitter usernames and web information from contributors that can be use after the event to continue the conversation with your fans.
